WEBINAR RECORDING: Reflections of Psychosocial Practitioners working in Post Conflict Zones (CSVR)

A recording of the webinar ‘Reflections of Psychosocial Practitioners working in Post Conflict Zones’ from the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) on 26 January 2021 is now available here –  https://www.facebook.com/TheCSVR/videos/750919172466702/

CSVR’s psychosocial practitioners Celeste Matross, Jacqui Chowles, Sumaiya Mohamed and Maravic Mall share their expertise and reflections on the complexities of work, drawing on experiences from Gambia, Guinea, South Africa, South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Bangladesh and beyond, in a conversation moderated by Amina Mwaikambo.

They look at what psychosocial support is for the individual, family, community, and at the national and government level, and why it is needed in post-conflict zones. They discuss issues of trust and healing, and explore the intersections between psychosocial support and transitional justice, dealing with the past, violence prevention and peacebuilding.
