Webinar recording: Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Interventions in Contexts of Displacement: Insights from a Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis

The webinar on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Interventions in Contexts of Displacement: Insights from a Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis was event held on 09 February 2021 hosted by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany, in cooperation with the University of Virginia and GIZ’s Regional Project on Psychosocial Support for Syrian/Iraqi Refugees and IDPs.

In the virtual event, a Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis on the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions in situations of displacement was presented by the University of Virginia. Implications for future implementation and evaluation with the aim to put MHPSS on more solid empirical ground were presented and discussed by Elke Löbel (Commissioner for Refugee Policy, BMZ) and Silvia Morgenroth (Special Initiative on Displacement, BMZ,) Kirsten Gelsdorf and Amanda Nguyen  (University of Virginia),  Alena Mehlau (GIZ), along with Felicity Brown from War Child Holland, Peter Ventevogel from UNHCR and Brandon Gray from WHO.
