The Working Group on MHPSS for Men and Boys of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Reference Group on MHPSS in Emergency Settings kindly invites you to a webinar on the importance of intersectionality and the relevance of identity when providing MHPSS for men & boys in emergency settings and displacement.

The goal of the webinar is to share and discuss experiences, challenges, gaps and lessons learned from projects and research considering identity in relation to the mental health and psychosocial needs of men and boys in emergency and displacement situations, through the insights of:

  • Lena Skovgaard Andersen, PhD, Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Public Health, Global Health section;
  • Juan Jose Castellanos, Child Protection and MHPSS Coordinator, War Child (Colombia);
  • Pascale Kolakez, Co-Founder and Mental Health Advisor MOSAIC – MENA Organization for Services, Advocacy, Integration & Capacity building.

The 1.15-hour webinar will take place on Thursday, 6 October at 3.30 pm CET and will be open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the topic and existing approaches and initiatives.
