Which psychosocial interventions are effective and why?

How can we create meaningful psychosocial support in difficult contexts?

Based on their systematic review and meta-analysis, the University of Virginia presents what is known about the effectiveness of psychosocial interventions in situations of displacement and highlights implications for future implementation and evaluation with the aim to put MHPSS on more solid empirical ground.

The event offers a space to reflect on the findings and discuss steps to move towards designing psychosocial interventions in ways which make their outputs meaningful and comparable. Together with experts from the field, academia and policymakers, we aim to reflect on the status quo and explore ways forward to anchor MHPSS safely in development cooperation and emergency response.

Recommendations that emerge during the virtual event will inform the practice section of the report, which will be shared after the event.
