Review of Mental Health and Psychosocial Needs and Responses during Emergencies in Nigeria

This thesis aims to help improve effective MHPSS responses during emergencies in Nigeria, through a review of MHPSS needs and responses, a review of the international MHPSS literature and the formulation of evidence-informed recommendations tailored to the specific situation in Nigeria. It used the methodology of review of literature and reports that are available through VU-library and hand-searching of internet was done. IASC-MHPSS intervention pyramid model was used to analyze the situation in Nigeria.
