Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Assessment Needs, services and recommendations to improve the wellbeing of those living through Yemen’s humanitarian emergency

This assessment report by International Medical Corps examines the sources of psychosocial distress, key needs for mental health and psychosocial support services, traditional ways of coping, help-seeking behaviors, barriers to accessing support, existing MHPSS services and critical gaps in services provided. The report then provides recommendations for all key actors and stakeholders, with the goal of improving the delivery of MHPSS services in Yemen—currently acknowledged as one of the world’s worst humanitarian emergencies, where there is a significant dearth of MHPSS services available.
