Identifying Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Needs Among Internally Displaced Persons in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria

During September-October 2017, the Gede Foundation and CRS engaged in a study to investigate mental health issues in Borno State, Nigeria as well as the psychosocial consequences of the conflict in the area. The study used a combination of free listing, key informant interviews (KII), focus group discussions (FGD), and mental health assessments to gain a broader understanding of these concepts. A brief summary of the key findings and recommendations are included.
