This Health Systems in Action Insight was written at the behest of the WHO Regional Office for Europe and in the context of the
European Programme of Work (EPW), 2020–2025 – “United Action for Better Health in Europe”. It captures for Member States
outside the EU core information on their health systems; flags key issues; and allows comparison across countries and over time.
