Displaced in cities: Experiencing and Responding to urban internal displacement outside of camps

A growing proportion of people internally displaced by armed conflict and other violence live in cities and towns. This report looks at their experience in four cities – Mosul in Iraq, Baidoa in Somalia, Maiduguri in Nigeria and San Pedro Sula in Honduras – and recommends a number of important ways to improve the humani- tarian response to meet their immediate and longer term needs and help them fully recover.
