Children with Disabilities in Malaysia: Mapping the Policies, Programmes, Interventions and Stakeholders

This report provides vital information to enable all stakeholders to further build on the leadership Malaysia has already shown to fulfill the rights of children with disabilities. Malaysia already has important policy and legal frameworks for people with disabilities; the 2007 National Policy for Persons with Disabilities, the National Plan of Action for Persons with Disabilities and the 2008 Persons with Disabilities Act, and in 2010, Malaysia was among the first to sign and ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
