Child Mental Health, Psychosocial Well-Being and Resilience in Afghanistan: A Review and Future Directions

This chapter thus provides a synthesis of child- focused research and intervention literature related to mental health and psychosocial well- being in Afghanistan. Our intent is to inform the research agenda and service provision strategies for Afghan children and adolescents. We also discuss a framework for developing initiatives to promote mental health and psychosocial well- being within this group, and make recommenda- tions for future directions.
