Building Back Better in Aceh

On 26 December 2004, an earthquake measuring 9 on the Richter scale struck the western end of Indonesia’s Sumatra Island, flattening buildings and generating a huge tsunami. In the five years that followed that fateful day, UNICEF has continued to help people put their lives back on track.
