Launch of the EQUIP Webinar Learning Series

Launch of the EQUIP Webinar Learning Series

Ensuring Quality in Psychological Support (EQUIP) is a platform that makes freely available a workforce package to support organizations (non-governmental organizations (NGOs), UN agencies, governments, academic institutions, and others), both in humanitarian and development settings, with resources, tools, and guidance for assessment and enhancement of essential competencies, foundational helping skills, necessary for all people working with children and adults across sectors. This is to ensure non-specialist helpers achieve the skills needed for safe and effective care, including persons being trained to deliver mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).

If you are interested in learning more about how EQUIP works in the field, our next webinar learning series on how EQUIP is being used in practice is on June 13, 1pm CET. You can register for the event here.

We encourage organizations to engage with the EQUIP team to receive training and support (online or if funds are available in country) in integrating EQUIP in regular programming, training, supervision and with implementing partners to ensure that minimum competency standards of acritical mass of qualified social workforce staff are being met. If you have any questions or would love to get started, please contact Fiamma Rupp, the EQUIP Helpdesk at equip-helpdesk@unicef.org.
