I’m considering a move to Latin America after I finish my training in the UK. I will be a clinical psychologist as of October 2012.
I’d be very interested to hear from anyone who has made the transition from another country to working in Latin America. Do you have any tips or things that you found out along your way? How did you find employment or set up?
If there are any psychosocial charities or causes that you think are particularly worthwhile, I would like to hear about them. (I’d like to do some volunteering.)
I’d also be interested to hear if anyone has worked in mental health services for international students or expatriates (as this is likely to be in my home language, English, and from what I’ve heard the most likely way of making a living while I’m abroad).
Thanks in advance for your comments.
