This is a group for mental health and psychosocial practitioners working with refugees and other forced migrants in Kenya. This country has a large refugee and migrant population and a significant number of actors involved in MHPSS interventions for refugees. However the MHPSS practitioners tend to be isolated from each other because of geographical and other barriers: the main refugee concentrations and activities are in the main cities (Nairobi and Mombasa) and in the extreme South-West (Kakuma refugee camp) and the camps around Dadaab near the border with Somalia.
This groups aims to foster contact and exchange between these disparate groups.
