DSS MHPSS organizes a 2-day training on MHPSS Coordination for DSS MHPSS roster members.
Country-level coordination of MHPSS Technical Working Groups is an important focus of the , as it enables sustainable coordination and information sharing between MHPSS actors in emergency settings. This training has been developed by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) Reference Group on MHPSS in cooperation with the DSS MHPSS programme with the intention of building a cadre of MHPSS Technical Working Group Coordinator specialists with specific coordination skills within the SBP framework for the deployment to emergencies.
Candidates for the Course
The MHPSS Technical Working Group Coordination training is intended to build the coordination knowledge and skills for MHPSS specialists with previous MHPSS field experience in emergency contexts. DSS MHPSS standby roster members who meet the following criteria can participate in this training:
▪ Available and willing to commit to be deployed via DSS MHPSS within the next 12-18 months;
▪ At least around 3 years of field experience in MHPSS
▪ Fluent English language skills
The course will take place online on Wednesday 1st of July and Thursday 2nd of July 2020. The course will start both days at 9:00 Geneva Time and will end both days around 16:00 Geneva Time.
Admission is free for DSS MHPSS roster members.
