The European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands (BZ), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the IASC MHPSS Reference Group and MHPSS.net warmly invite all interested donors, partners and practitioners to a webinar on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC)- addressing the consequences of gender-based violence (GBV) and displacement. This follows the two webinars on MHPSS in the MENA region which took place in 2022.
The webinar will take place on:
Tuesday 4 July 2023, 16:00-18:00 CEST/ 09:00 – 11:00 EST
The session will focus on interlinkages between violence, including GBV, migration and MHPSS. We will exchange on how to enable and create high-quality, impactful MHPSS interventions, while discussing more in-depth on priorities related to the specific needs and challenges identified in the LAC region. The session will bring together local practitioners and partners as well as MHPSS specialists, including the IASC MHPSS Reference Group.
