Developing the My Hero is You 2021 Edition
Survey deadline: midnight Monday 24 May 2021
The IASC MHPSS RG is creating a second edition of the children’s book on COVID-19. With your support, My Hero is You has become a global success, with now 141 translations and 50 accessible and multimedia formats available. Children and their families are reading the storybook across the world. You can read the highlights of the dissemination of the story in the highlights report or watch this short animated documentary.
Currently, in May 2021, the situation and children’s worries about COVID-19 have changed from April 2020. Therefore, the imaginary character ´´Ario´´ will revisit the world with a new story to support families and children to address current worries and concerns related to COVID-19.
The IASC MHPSS RG is seeking the support of global, regional and country offices and web platforms to share 2 short surveys through digital means with parents, caregivers and teachers through their networks. You are also welcome to fill in the survey yourself as a teacher and/or a parent/ caregiver along with your child(ren).
Please share these surveys within your formal and informal networks, including spaces such as Facebook pages, community neighborhoods web platforms, WhatsApp support groups for parents/ caregivers, Twitter, education groups etc.
It is not necessary to read the children’s book before completing this survey. We also share the links to the storybook and accompanying resources at the end of this survey.
