Psychotrauma in the context of war bears many challenges in terms of diagnosis and treatment.
ARQ international is providing a series of advanced trainings in psychotrauma treatment for mental health specialists in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. This course, designed by an experienced psychologist and trainer, aims to help specialists to strengthen their toolbox to address consequences of psychotrauma in the context of humanitarian crisis.
Three main topics will be covered during three sessions:
- The first session will focus on the effects of war on mental health. Helpful ways to support people in times of crisis will be discussed.
- The second session addresses the topic of sexual violence: what is sexual violence, and what are normal reactions when being a victim? How do people cope and survive? How can we recognize victim blaming and educate people on this topic?
- The third session addresses traumatic loss and mourning. What are normal reactions to loss, and how can people get stuck in mourning? What can be helpful in recovery?
How to register for this online sessions?
Three series of three sessions will be held online. Each session will address one of the above-mentioned topics, followed by a time for discussion and questions. The training will be held in English and simultaneous interpretation to Ukrainian will be provided. Free access after registration.
Dates: 1st series: Monday 15th, Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 18th August 2022 at 19:30 – 21:30 EEST
2nd series: Wednesday 17th, Wednesday 24th and Wednesday 31st August 2022 at 16:00 – 18:00 EEST
3rd series: Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th August and Thursday 1st September 2022 at 19:30 – 21:30 EEST

Програма розширеного курсу з психологічної травми
Будуть проведені три серії по три онлайн зустрічі. На кожній зустрічі розмова піде на одну із згаданих вище тем, після чого буде час для обговорення, запитань та відповідей. Тренінг проводитиме досвідчений психолог та консультант Кім Бемельманс-Хаїджен.
Зустрічі проводитимуться англійською мовою, а також буде надаватися синхронний переклад на українську мову. Кожна з сесій відкрита для 20 учасників.
День 1| Війна та її вплив на психічне здоров’я
Який вплив на психічне здоров’я справляє війна та які є корисні способи підтримувати людей у часи кризи?
День 2 | Сексуальне насильство
Що таке сексуальне насильство? Нормальні реакції людини, що стала жертвою? Способи подолання та виживання. Як розпізнати засудження жертви та проводити роз’яснення на цю тему?
День 3 | Травма втрати та скорбота
Які нормальні реакції у випадку втрати? Як не зациклитися на скорботі? Що корисно для відновлення?
